AMVIC Quick Hits - All In Pricing - We're Making Progress but Challenges Remain
|
Over the past couple of years, our collective progress in complying with the All In Pricing law has improved, but we need to continue our diligence in ensuring the advertised price includes everything that is required by law. In its simplest terms, your advertised price must include everything that is attached to the vehicle, or is a required purchase, except for GST and costs associated with financing.
An important reminder to all dealers that, regardless of whether the additional equipment can be removed or not, the cost of the equipment must be included in the advertised price if it is on the vehicle when shown to the customer. Suggesting that it can be removed if the customer is not interested is not compliant with the law.
If you have any questions regarding this or any other regulatory question, please contact the MDA's Office.

Federated Insurance - Tips to Help Safeguard Your Property Against High Winds and Hailstorms
|
Summer weather has become increasingly unpredictable, with strong winds and hailstorms frequently causing significant damage. According to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, July and August 2024 alone saw four severe weather events, resulting in more than $7 billion in property damage*.
While no business is shielded from the impacts of these losses, preventative maintenance coupled with a comprehensive risk management plan can help minimize damage and minimize business interruptions when severe weather strikes.
To help you be prepared, we’ve developed these risk management resources outlining the steps you can take to help mitigate risk and prevent costly damage to your business and property.
|
As a 100% Canadian-owned insurer, Federated Insurance is here to support you and your business. To learn more, visit www.federated.ca, or if you’re a Federated customer, you can contact your Commercial Insurance Specialist with any questions.
