SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include the purchasing of parts and accessories, selling to external and internal customers, inventory control and security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising procedures. Good interpersonal skills are important and the applicant must be able to work in a team environment. |
Journeyman and/or second year apprentice Parts Technicians are required for new vehicle franchised dealerships in Alberta.
Specific duties and responsibilities will/may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with other dealership departments to ensure a timely turnaround of parts required for vehicle repairs.
- Assist customers in selecting required parts, offer specials and ensure that customers are exposed to the full product line of available parts and accessories
- Determine availability and order required parts if not in inventory.
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide information and/or pricing quotes as necessary.
- Solicit new business by telephone.
- Deal with all enquiries in a friendly, professional manner.
- Maintain parts area in a clean and uncluttered manner.
- Keep current on new products and product updates.
- Replenish assigned inventory daily.
- Participate in all assigned/approved training programs
- Work in a highly computerized environment with emphasis on inventory control, safety and security issues.
- A good working knowledge of English (speaking, writing, reading & comprehension) is required.
